End-User License Agreement

This license is personal to you and you can use it only on one computer. You may not sublicense, lease, sell, or otherwise transfer the SOFTWARE or any of the accompanying documentation to any other person. You may use the software only for your own personal use if you are an individual or for your own internal business purposes if you are a business.

Single License
The License is intended for a permanent installation of the software on one system and is unlimited in time. The user is not allowed to rent out or pass the software, as well as the gadgets documents, on to another person in any other way.

Technician license – the simple way of maintaining several computers

The technician license entitles you to use the software for a whole year on an unlimited amount of computers within one Firm location, provided the software is not used on two systems at the same time and only used in the Attended Mode*. Once the software is permanently installed on a system, it may not be used on other systems without purchasing additional licenses. The technician license is, as opposed to the single-license, contracted to a single person and not to a system.

This licensing is a cost effective solution for system administrators, technicians and IT-consultants (advisors). The License is intended to make use of the software independent of network size and network architecture on personal computers and servers. The technician license is the ideal license model to facilitate the work of technicians and organize it more efficiently.

As an IT-service vendor you can also use the technician license for external services. Therefore Paragon programs can be used as an ideal utility of maintenance work on the premises of the costumers. The software can be used on an unlimited number of systems here, too, provided the software is not used on two systems at the same time and only used in the Attended Mode*.

A technician license can only be used either in-house or externally.

*Attended Mode:

In the attended mode the software is installed directly with the given Installation mechanisms. No external programs or Scripts are used, which makes an automated and unattended installation by command line possible.

The software is used exclusively on a local system and on the given user surface. The use of distant systems is only permitted if there is access to the given user surface by a remote maintenance software (e.g. Microsoft remote Desktop, VNC, PC Anywhere). Use of distant systems by command line and the automatic execution of operations in the unattended mode are not permitted.

Volume license

Prices are calculated from 2 up to several of hundreds of units. The volume license is intended for permanent installation on the number of systems, corresponding to the purchase and it is unlimited in time. Further licenses can be purchased within one year with the same discounts. In case of a high number of licenses it is worth choosing a site or enterprise license instead.

Network License
This type of licensing refers to Paragon CD-ROM Emulator and grants you the right to use on specific number of computers connected in one network. 

Site license

The site license grants the right to use the software on an unlimited amount of servers and workstations attached to one firm location. The license is valid for an unlimited amount of time and is available from 10 Servers respectively from 250 Workstations. If there is an increase in number of systems no additional costs for further licenses will be incurred (no additional licenses must be purchased). The price will be calculated on request, depending on the existing systems of the firm location. The license contains a 1-Year Upgrade warranty. This can be prolonged annually if necessary and will be calculated depending on the existing systems at that time.

Enterprise license

Open License
Prices are calculated from two units on to several hundred. If a certain amount of licenses are reached it is useful to ask if a Site or Enterprise wide license would be the better solution for the customer. It is always advisable to offer Resellers several products, thus they can take advantage of additional discount.

Advanced License
The Paragon Advanced License enables corporations to provide large-scale maintenance and backup solutions for a combination of at least 200 server and/or 1000 desktop systems, which can be located anywhere in the world.

Educational License
Our Educational License Program is intended to make Paragon's quality system utilities more affordable to students, teachers, schools, colleges, and universities. Generally, we offer those customers discount on all products. Moreover, knowing the difficult financial situation of educational institutions worldwide, we worked out several cost effective options to license our system utilities, and we are at every time ready to discuss special conditions according to the requirements and budget restrictions of every single institution. There are two options to purchase Paragon's system utilities for educational purposes: Student's and Teacher's License and Campus License. Support service

There will be a number of support variations at your disposal: In general you will receive a 60-days free E-Mail support on all our products from the date of purchase. Additionally you can acquire telephone assistance (support) for one year at a reasonable price.

Upgrade warranty

As an additional service it is possible to purchase a 1 or 2 Year upgrade warranty. This entitles you to receive free product releases within the contracted period (term of purchase). By having the upgrade-warranty you will be independent of possible price-adjustments and at the same time protect yourselves from potential system incompatibility.
